Akkar

In the extreme north of Lebanon, it makes the northern borders with Syria. It’s so rich in water, natural wonders & human resources, historical places. It’s a well know region with its agriculture, its plain, & for sure with the biggest forest in Lebanon & in the middle east, El Kamoua national park, that extends from Akroum to Daniyyeh, including the biggest variety in the ecosystem, & a great balance in the region weather in the relatively dry middle east. Her people, relatively poor, money wise, are still the most beautiful, the most pure minded, so lovely & strong…
While the richest in natural resources, view its place, away from Beirut (120 km), the political & economical capitol, (not really that far), there is neglect from the government toward it & its people. So you can easily know the difference between a small road inside the capitol & a highway conducting to & into Akkar. Even, the richest in water, there is still some villages living without water. Even that the electricity didn’t reach yet all the akkarian villages, & there is some villages that its impossible to reach them by car, the forests are not well protected, so many spaces are destroyed yearly by fire & by people to cover the needs for power, & also the wild life is in danger, first due to the destruction of the forests & to uncontrolled hunting by the akkarian citizens.
Yes, this is Akkar in reality, so rich & so poor!
We are waiting now the completion of the new law that will make Akkar, a state, independent from the North Of Lebanon, which will make more easily the efforts to move it up.
